Better Business Bureau warns Maine businesses and consumers of a business with a BBB F Rating. As of
September 8, 2009, 3V Marketing of Portland, ME tops the most complained about list.
“BBB encourages consumers to take the time to obtain a Reliability Report before making any purchasing decisions,” says Paula Fleming, vice president of communications and marketing for BBB. “Always use BBB’s Check Out a Business to be sure you start with a trustworthy business,” Fleming adds.
3V Marketing is a marketing company that handles four campaigns for Vitality, LLC: Acai Advanced, an herbal supplement; Certified Reservatrol, a dietary supplement; Sera Concepts, an anti-aging skin care line; and Live Lean for Life, a lifestyle management content based website.
BBB has received and closed 575 complaints against 3V Marketing. Of these, the majority, 571 were closed within the last year. The complaints filed against 3V Marketing span eight of BBB’s ten possible complaint categories, 59% in regards to billing and collection. Below is a breakdown into the complaints from consumers to BBB.
Credit, Billing, and Collection Issues
Many consumers reported unauthorized credit card charges and bank debits, and failure to correct these charges or provide any itemized billing.
Customer Service Issues
Consumers reported that 3V Marketing failed to provide promised assistance with products and services, and failed to respond to phone calls or written requests for this support.
Refund or Exchange Issues
3V Marketing also failed to honor promised refunds, and exchanges, and failed to honor refund, exchange, and credit policies.
