Kevin J. Sanders, President & CEO – Since coming to the Bureau in 1980, Mr. Sanders began his career in the mail room, and 25 years later as the Executive Vice President was elected to his current position as President & CEO.
In 1989, Mr. Sanders graduated from the Council of Better Business Bureaus Executive Development Institute and also earned his Certified Association Executive (CAE) designation from the American Society of Association Executives. On June 12, 2003 Mr. Sanders graduated from the FBI's Citizens' Academy.
In the fall of 1995, Mr. Sanders was instrumental in the creation and development of the official website of the Better Business Bureau serving Eastern Massachusetts, Maine & Vermont (www.bosbbb.org). It is because of Mr. Sanders’ technical expertise that this BBB is the innovative leader in technological advances throughout the Bureau system. An updated web site was launched in December 2001 and won an prestigious award as Best BBB Web Site in 2002 from the Council of Better Business Bureaus.
From 2004-2005 Mr. Sanders served on the Council of Better Business Bureau’s Survey Committee. Mr. Sanders currently serves on the Council of Better Business Bureau’s Information Technology Committee and the Standard Reporting Language Committee.
Mr. Sanders earned a Cum Laude Masters of Science Degree in Criminal Justice from Northeastern University and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Southern Maine. He attended Saint John's High School in Shrewsbury, MA. He resides in the community of Marlborough with his wife and three children. He enjoys outdoor activities including, skiing, biking and backpacking in the White Mountains.
